why i was in DC

Hey ,

I’m sitting here sipping a cappuccino in a beautiful hotel Washington D.C., reflecting on what has honestly been one of the most surreal weeks of my life.

This week, I got invited to the White House as part of Women's History Month—and while I know even saying "White House" can trigger immediate political thoughts (trust me, I get it!), this story isn’t about politics. Not even close.

I would’ve accepted this invitation, no matter which person was or is in power, because this is not about an individual: it’s about the event we were celebrating, the honor this represents and what’s possible for every single one of us.

(I mean, I literally don’t even have the right to vote in this country… yet. 😉)

Me and tiny little baby bump… at The White House?! What?!

It’s about dreams, possibility, and what this symbolizes—especially for someone like me, an immigrant who arrived in this country 12 years ago with literally nothing but a $1,000 credit card limit, a very large suitcase, and a whole lot of determination.

Back then, I’d never even visited America before stepping off that plane. I was just a girl from the North East of England who’d heard stories about "the American dream" and believed them wholeheartedly. I watched American movies, TV shows and followed American bloggers online… always so interested by the mindset and lifestyle differences over here. I believed there was something special here: an energy, a mindset, a belief in possibility that I just couldn’t ignore.

But honestly, if you’d told that girl she’d one day…

You’ll have built one of the world’s largest brands for female entrepreneurs, and be invited to the White House to celebrate Women’s History Month (while pregnant with your second baby!), she’d probably laugh awkwardly, then secretly tuck that dream away with all the other wild ideas she hoped might come true someday.

Yet here I am. My husband and daughter right here by my side, experiencing all of this with me. And if I’m being real with you—that’s the ultimate fulfillment for me. Not just achieving the “the things”, but sharing it with the people I love most. I also got to bring my assistant along on the trip,

I’m sharing this today because I genuinely believe stories like this shouldn’t be kept quiet. They're meant to remind us all of something powerful:

Your past never dictates your future.

Your starting point does not limit your dreams.

And the goals you have—no matter how wild or impossible they might seem—are so much closer than you think, as long as you keep showing up, even when it’s hard, messy, or uncertain.

I promise you, whatever dream you’re nurturing right now, it’s possible.

So here’s my gentle encouragement: Take a second today and allow yourself to dream just a bit bigger. Whatever you’ve been holding back, whatever feels just out of reach—lean into it.

And I just want to close with saying thank you.

Thank you to each and every one of you who are part of this community, and have played a part in making it what it is. To be honored at the White House for what we’ve built, while celebrating the most incredible women in history, was a huge honor for me… and I know none of it would be possible without you.

I hope you can see this for what it is, and not a political statement, because trust me: it couldn’t be any further from that.

XO
Natalie

I’m really excited to be back on YouTube, so I wanted to share 4 mini masterclasses that you could listen to today, and immediately see the results in your business.

Do This Mini "Dream Audit" to Move the Needle on Your Big Goal

If the story I shared above sparked something inside you, here’s your action step this week to translate your dreams into action (because dreaming bigger is amazing—but pairing dreams with aligned action is magic ✨):

Step 1: Grab your journal or a blank page, and clearly write down ONE bold dream that feels just a little out of reach.

Step 2: Now, quickly jot down three reasons why you might be holding yourself back from fully going after this dream. (Be honest—this part might feel uncomfortable, but clarity creates breakthroughs.)

Step 3: Pick just one small action you can take this week to directly move closer to your big dream. This doesn’t need to be massive—just something real that nudges you forward.

Dreaming bigger means stepping up, especially when it feels uncomfortable.
