the day I handed in my notice at Bossbabe

Can I be fully transparent, ...

Last year was one of the most challenging years for me. 

At the beginning of last year, Bossbabe was NOT in a good financial position, the team was burnt out, the leadership team was shifting + to top it off, my co-founder Danielle and I had VERY different visions for the future of the company.

…not to mention I was still very much navigating a rough postpartum experience + my new rhythms as a mama and CEO.

I found myself wondering - is Bossbabe going to even survive this? 

Or quite frankly, even if it does, will I even be part of it?

I almost completely stepped away. I was so close to stepping down as CEO, giving it all up, and taking the break I SO desperately needed… 

Truth be told, I actually handed in my notice to the whole Bossbabe team… and I was fully prepared to walk away.

But after we all sat down to really discuss the ins and outs of that, the community of Bossbabe felt so deeply like an extension of me…

So fast forward a few months and a major flip: I bought Danielle out, took over complete control of Bossbabe, and stepped into my CEO seat with full clarity on how things needed to change. 

Despite all the changes + unknowns, we completely turned EVERYTHING around and went from asking “will we survive this” to saying “holy SH**, this year was more profitable than the one before.” 

- this is the power of going all in on ONE THING + doing it really freaking well. 

I knew what needed to be done. 

And let me tell you, it 👏worked 👏like 👏a 👏charm!!! 

We took very specific steps, followed a process + stayed the course and in just 3 months we completely changed the trajectory of Bossbabe.
