The Strategy Behind Our Multi-Million Dollar Quarter

On Friday I shared with you about our revenue numbers - we got such a HUGE response (sorry CS team!!) about what tactics and strategies we’ve been using.

Honestly? Even with these huge numbers, it’s truly the easiest and smoothest the business has ever felt. 

Beyond the numbers, what I’m most proud of is the level of freedom and joy I get from my business – as well as the INCREDIBLE team culture we have co-created. Truly, the bossbabe team is like family. We have fun together, we remind each other of our core values if we try to take too much on, and we prioritize what matters…

And while I’ve heard from so many friends and clients that “this is a rough economy for online businesses” – we are operating in a whole different place where:

Doing less doesn’t equal less revenue.

Having more freedom in our company culture doesn’t mean less performance.

And having more joy doesn’t mean seeing lower results.

We’re close to hitting $3M in revenue already and we are just getting started!!!

☝️ This is all WITHOUT over-investing in paid ads, fancy new tech, or team. I’m not sharing any of this to brag, quite the opposite actually… I want to show you what’s possible when you FOCUS and also share some of the key strategies behind what’s allowed us to get to this point, so you can too.

Now, these are things that sound simple, but in practice, they have made all the difference for us and I know if you implement these too, you will completely transform the way you run your business. So, let’s get into it… ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ 

1️⃣ Focus on ONE thing at a time: During this week’s Société call a few questions that kept coming up were around the idea of building and promoting multiple offers at once. I kept going back to the answer that you should always start by focusing on just ONE thing – one funnel, one offer, one product, one platform.

If you’re getting lost in the overwhelm of building multiple offers, creating a spiderweb of funnels, or just feeling like you’re spinning your wheels month after month – I encourage you to ask yourself what it would look like to simplify. How we’ve been doing that this year is focusing on putting out ONE offer at a time and all of our resources + focus is on that group for a specific amount of time. We’ve also gotten rid of any complicated tech and brought basically everything into one platform – Kajabi.

If you take one thing from today’s email it’s this: focus, focus, focus. Go all in on just ONE thing and see it through. You will be way more likely to succeed if this is your approach. FULL STOP 🤌 

2️⃣ Invest time in nurturing your audience: Your audience is what we call your “top of funnel” and they are such an important piece of your overall business strategy… because without your audience, who are you going to speak + sell to anyway?!

The free resources you give to your followers (no matter how small or big your audience is) are the first place they learn about what you have to offer, the problems you solve, and what makes your solution unique + effective. It’s also where you build the all-important ‘know, like, and trust factor’ which helps create a stronger connection with the people in your community.

Let’s normalize people not buying from you right away and being okay with taking time to truly nurture your audience and build those relationships. Find ways to offer free value, nurture your audience with intention, and focus on building relationships because I promise you, it will pay off ten-fold in the end!

3️⃣ Your sales strategy matters: At the end of the day, you can’t get away with a half-baked sales strategy. Your audience is savvy and more sophisticated than ever before, so the days of pulling one over on them are long gone. AND the truth is, you don’t need to trade your time for dollars – that’s a total MYTH.
