almost walked away
Hey ,
Ever look around at a business you built — the team, the revenue, the offers — and think:
“Wait… how did I end up here? This isn’t even what I wanted.”
That was me in 2022 after coming back from a short maternity leave.
Revenue was down.
Profit margins were tight.
The demands on me were higher than ever before.
And I was ready to walk away.
Not because the business was inherently broken.
Because I was misaligned.
I’d made decisions for a long time that looked good on paper, but they weren’t rooted in my core values.
They were rooted in outside expectations, pressure to keep up, and shiny-object opportunities. And at a certain point, that kind of growth becomes exhausting.
Here’s the truth I wish more women knew:

That’s why I now run every major decision through a simple process I call CORE:
Clarify, Own, Reinforce, Evaluate.
It’s what helped me go from almost-exiting to building our most profitable (and joyful) year yet.
Let’s break it down:
C – CLARIFY
What actually matters to you? Not what should matter. What do you value when no one’s watching? For me: simplicity, freedom, impact, and depth.
O – OWN
Where have you made decisions out of alignment? Own it. This part is hard—but it’s freeing. When I realized I was growing for applause, not fulfillment, it shifted everything.
R – REINFORCE
Core values aren’t posters on the wall—they’re habits in action. How are you living your values in your calendar? In your team culture? In your client experience?
E – EVALUATE
Use your values as a filter for every decision. Hire through them. Build offers with them. Say no through them. If it’s not aligned, it’s not it.
I want you to hear this loud and clear:
When you’re clear on your values, you stop making decisions out of fear, fatigue, or FOMO.
You make decisions that are sustainable. Strategic. And soul-aligned.
And those are the ones that compound.
That build a business you don’t want to escape from.
That define your next decade.
